Contact forms

If you fill out a contact form for the purposes of sharing your comments or requesting further contact from us, your name, email address and other personal information you provide is not retained on this website, but rather is maintained in an external file (e.g., an email) for our exclusive use. We might, at our discretion, install software on this website to back up emails sent from the website to our staff in the event website email cannot be delivered. This back up will be retained indefinitely on our server until it is periodically destroyed by one of our staff.

Event Registration Data

When you register for our event, information you provide is retained by the registration company (e.g., RunSignUp.com) and is accessible by us and the registration company staff. We use your information to: (a) Publish a public listing of race results that you or anyone else can review. This data will contain your name, age and gender, and will provide your rank and finish time among all participants and those of similar age group and gender. (b) Add you to our mailing list to provide you with announcements of future events managed or sponsored by Fun-Races. When you signed up for a Fun-Races event, you gave us consent to add you to our mailing list. You can opt out of the mailing list at any time.

Event Photographs

When you participate in a Fun-Races event, your image might be captured by our photographers before, during and after the event. You have a right to refuse to have your picture taken or to ask the photographer to destroy photographs containing your image or blur your image in group photographs.

Fun-Races, at our discretion, might use a photograph containing your image in advertisements on this or other websites, print material, or social media sites. When you registered for a Fun-Races event, you released any and all rights to any and all photographs that include your image and understand that you will receive no compensation if your image is used for promotional purposes. If you later object to your image being used, contact Fun-Races and request that your image be removed from any promotional materials. Although Fun-Races is under no obligation, we will do what we can to honor your request but might not have any control over promotional materials already distributed.

How we protect your data

Our website uses encryption to protect all information transmitted online. If you leave information on our site, it is not retained at the site but is forwarded by email to one of our staff, unless we have installed software to back up the website’s email in the event email is not delivered.  We use the backed up email for troubleshooting purposes and also to save your personal information so that it is not lost so we may follow up with you per your request.

Backed up email will be retained indefinitely on our server until it is periodically destroyed by one of our staff.

Our goal is to protect the personally identifiable information that you provide to us in the course of your use of this website.
